My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Robin. He is a six-month-old puppy who was brought to the shelter after being found wandering the streets. He was too frightened to be assessed at the shelter so they reached out to rescue groups and Dogworks took him in.

The moment this boy was out of the shelter he was happy, with a big grin on his face and a spring in his step.

He is doing very well at his foster mom’s house because he has a dog brother to show him the ropes.
Robin is doing well with potty training and does not chew any furniture or shoes. He has lots of chew toys to play with and when he gets bored, he plays in the yard, running as fast as he can! He will need a fenced in yard to keep him safe outside. He loves to run and play fetch but tires quickly and will take time for a puppy nap.

He is cautious around new people and will bark, which is expected with strays. It will take some time for him to learn manners and know that he is safe and will be loved and fed. He has a very loud bark and will let you know when someone comes to the door. He is very loving though and just wants to be by your side. You will need to give him time to adjust to his surroundings and be patient with him. After all, he is just a puppy!

We recommend that he not be around very small children since he is still learning, but he has been wonderful with foster mom’s 6-year-old granddaughter who just loves him. They run and play together and have lots of fun! There is no food aggression with his older dog brother and he gets along fine with other dogs.

Robin is about 20 lbs. and we believe him to be a Terrier mix. He is up to neutered, up to date with vaccines, heart worm negative and on heartworm and flea and tick prevention. He also comes with a micro chip which is transferable with a lifetime registration.

He has a beautiful, soft coat and loves to be petted and brushed. We were told he may not get much bigger but it’s hard to tell. He will be ready for adoption soon. If you are interested, please feel free to fill out an application for him. This can be found at www.dogworksohio.com. There is no obligation to fill out an application. Robins adoption fee is $175.00
