My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From Ariats current caretakers: Ariat is a 1 year old spayed female and weighs about 35-40lb. She was born deaf but that does not stop or shed any dark on her life. The last home she was in had other dogs, and young children. Did amazing with them. Have not found another dog yet she does not get along with, She is in your pocket kind of dog, she follows me around everywhere I go, shes a dog that needs someones attention. The previous owners I believe didn't give her much so shes always striving to please, does like to get out and run/ exercise. She loves to cuddle and ride in the car. Walks on a leash, knows some sign language (that i have taught her, come, sit, stay. stay down) just basic. Only small vices and believe if someone spent time with her easily fixed. Flashing lights she likes to chase, and one time she met chickens they ran so she clearly chased after them. Shes very quite only barks when really playing with other dogs or when you leave right away. She is potty trained but needs to be let out. She is kenneled when we are not home. Takes time to warm up to people, men more than woman. We are looking for a family with a fenced yard to keep Ariat safe. A family with experience working with deaf dogs would be best.
