My name is Killian and they say I am about 7 years old and a Collie/Husky mix boy.  My story is that I was rescued by a nice lady who took me off the chain I was on for my whole life at a neglectful house in Kentucky.  The people who owned me never paid any attention to me because they were too busy doing drugs and partying with their friends.  I am a nice boy despite this terrible treatment and I love to play with my foster dog friends.  I never knew what it was like to have someone to play with and I love the freedom.  The vet said I have some cloudy eyes that hinder a little of my eyesight.  I have been checked out completely and this is something that doesn’t require any surgery or medication; just something that happens.  It does not stop me from enjoying life though.  I would love to have a family that will show me a good life and the comforts of being an inside companion for the rest of my life…which will be many, many years.  You won’t regret having me as your best furry friend, I promise.

Killian needs a fenced yard because this guy is a fan of the great outdoors.  His desire to be outside as much as possible would make him a great companion to someone who is a real outdoorsy person too!  He is said to be 7 years old but he acts like 4 years.  Just recently in a foster home he has started to play with a much younger and active dog and we have seen Killian blossom and smile more and more.  He seemingly is coming out of a zone where he was left alone, chained up with nothing to live for.  Now he has friends and indoor privileges and even a young buddy to engage him in entertaining dog play.  Such a joy to see Killian become a happy and more fulfilled dog.  Just a true gift to be a part of this transformation as he waits for the right home and heart to love him.

About Critter Cavalry Rescue New England - CT

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a dedicated group of rescue volunteers who desire to find loving homes for animals who have been placed in shelters and are in grave danger of euthanasia. Our heart's desire is to provide you with a loving companion for many years to come.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are a full volunteer rescue organization. All of our animals are kept in loving foster homes, receiving the best care possible. A completed application must be submitted and approved to meet with our dogs/pups. A completed application helps us determine compatibility and also helps us to ensure a successful adoption.

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
