Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hairlip was rescued from a local kill shelter where he had been brought in as a stray. He had been hanging around a used car lot, obviously not the best place to call home. He was not vetted (is now!) and had the odd mouth thing going on for which he gets his name. The vet thinks this is the result of an old injury. Somehow he must have taken a smack to the face without losing any teeth in the process so his lip is gone but his teeth aren't. This unusual look causes him no distress whatsoever. It just makes him all the more unique and adorable! Hairlip is the sweetest boy, too, so he obviously had a home at some point in his young life. He is vet aged at around two years so probably lived with folks as a kitten and was tossed out for whatever reason, smacked in the face, and found himself in a kill shelter. He needs to put on weight and his coat is not as good as it will be after a few months of premium food and love, but he is a beautiful cat nonetheless. For those of you with big hearts that don't need cosmetic perfection, this is the cat for you. Hairlip gets along with kids, cats and dogs. He is wonderful on all counts and even more wonderful because of his "hairlip." Fill out an application and adopt him today!
