Vamp is a regal, nearly all black cat with hints of white in his ears and at his throat. He is shy and sweet and a bit reclusive. Vamp is a special needs kitty who's rough start has left him with a significant heart murmur that may need more care as he gets older.
Vamp and his siblings were born feral and experienced abuse as well. At approximately 12 weeks they were brought to the HSNB and were placed in foster care to acclimate to domesticity. Given their harsh human experience prior to that time it has taken extreme care, love and patience to prepare Vamp for life as a pet. In foster care he has interacted with other cats of all ages and cat-friendly dogs.
Vamp's trust is hard won through yummy food and play sessions. His ideal home would be rather quiet possibly with other pets who are calm and accepting and allow him space and time to acclimate to his new guardian. He is sweet when held and has a lovely soft purr. He would likely be comforted to continue to live with his sister Jaylah although he likes her far more than she likes him.
Vamp's heart condition could end up having zero impact on his life, although the vet does recommend he not be exposed to excessive stress or excitement. More testing could reveal additional care and medication to insure and extend Vamp's health and livelihood. Due to limited resources these tests will only occur in Vamp's furr-ever home. He is a sweet, shy kitty that really deserves a chance at being loved and accepted.
