Fireball's Story...
Looking for the "purrfect" kitten? Meet Fireball! Fireball is a sweet, outgoing, and curious 3 month old kitten that was rescued from Chicago Animal Care & Control. He is very affectionate and enjoys snuggling up with you. Not only is Fireball a cuddle bug, he is a purr machine that will instantly purr as soon as you pick him up! He is a silly young boy that loves to play with toys and his kitten buddy Bourbon who he is being fostered with. Fireball is so playful he doesn't know how to stop - he will keep playing for as long as you dangle toys in front of him! His favorite toys are feather wand toys. He can leap through the air pretty high chasing them, and even do back flips! He also loves being around people and will follow his foster mom wherever she goes.

Fireball is unique in that he has a shorter tail than most cats. He was most likely born this way and it doesn't affect him one bit. We think it just makes him extra special!

Fireball is currently being fostered in Wicker Park in Chicago, IL. He would love to be adopted with his buddy Bourbon or will need to go to a home with another kitten or cat willing to play with him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fireball, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
