My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

NAME OF DOG - AMANDA
AGE – 5 years old (approx.)
SEX – Female - Spayed
BREED – Shar-Pei/Bulldog Mix
SIZE/WEIGHT – 35—40 lbs.
TEMPERAMENT – Funny, playful, loving and shy
WHAT WOULD BE THE IDEAL HOME FOR THIS DOG? - This dog would do best in a house with another dog to keep her company and someone that understands what she’s been through and gives her lots of love and attention.
DISLIKES – Nothing, this lady is very well-rounded and nothing seems to faze her.
GOOD WITH CHILDREN? – Unknown, but Amanda is a very gentle dog, I am sure she would be ok with children that are polite and kind.
AFRAID OF DOGS? – No
GOOD WITH CATS? – Unknown
Amanda was rescued because she was asking to be helped, she kept following people that ignored her, walking behind them, looking up unto their faces and following each one for a few steps, but nobody would glance her way and she’d go back to her corner. The day she was rescued she pretty much had given up on asking for that help she desperately needed. Night was approaching, and I suppose she was thinking why she needed to sleep on the street and on an empty stomach.
Amanda has had many litters and her front teeth aren’t the best, but she is a very grateful dog that learns quickly and is eager to please in a soft, non-obtrusive way.
Amanda would do best in a home with another dog or a home where she can be included in as many activities as she can be. She rides well on the car, walks on a leash, and knows when to be quiet and when to play.
Amanda will thrive in a house where she is always taken into consideration and where she feels safe and loved.
