I’m Pogo, the 17 pound Dachshund. (Also known as a Doxie, Wiener dog, Sausage Puppy.)
That’s okay, you can call me what you want – but I am 100% DACHSUND and for those of you who know and love my breed – you know what that means! I’m a comedian, an athlete, a protector and a lovebug – all wrapped into one long, low package.
I am an ideal companion. I will follow you, love you, and amuse you all day and every day.
I will also always be in your chair when you want to sit down, under your feet when you are cooking dinner (actually anytime the refrigerator opens), beg unmercifully for anything that YOU are eating, eat anything that YOU will eat, and follow you everywhere (heaven forbid you close the bathroom door!).
I am also quite the sportsman and I will chase anything that moves in the yard from a butterflies shadow to a bug. I will also be a fierce protector of your backyard, until entry is gained and then I will lick you to death.
I am housebroken as long as you get me on a schedule and stick to it.
Whether it’s riding in the car, snuggling with you on the couch, or sleeping with you at night, I just want to be near my people (although I do have two brothers in my foster family and we have a great time playing together any chance we get)
I’m told by my foster Mom that I’m quite something and live up to everything ever said about Dachsunds.

Pogo is a 17 pound Dachshund with an estimated DOB 2/13/2016 who has been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue. We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
