Daisy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Daisy's Story...
Daisy is a 6 month old puppy and weighs 17 pounds. We estimate that she is a rat terrier/lab mix and the vet estimates she will be about 25 pounds. Daisy is the sibling to Libby and Daisy is the a bit more calm and mellow. She does however love to spend time in the backyard and takes her toys and bones there to relax. Daisy has made great progress in her foster home and we know she will continue to blossom in the right environment. We think both Daisy and Libby were abused because they are afraid of strangers touching them. It took her foster mom just a week to build trust and now she seeks out attention and cuddles. Although she is making progress Daisy will continue to need dog training help to get her past her fears. The ideal adopter is experienced with fearful dogs and has the time and patience to continue working with her and a dog trainer. She has been in foster care for two weeks now and absolutely loves her foster family so we are certain she has great potential. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Adoption fee $250. Preference given to a family that can take both siblings.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Tampa Rat Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Rat Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Rat Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
