This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

Meet Ginger Mae. This girl has an amazing personality, and would love to be the social chairman and welcome committee at your home.
On Jan 26th, we received a call from Dallas Animal Shelter asking for help rescuing a little girl Chihuahua. Her name was Ginger Mae. Ginger Mae was surrendered to DAS a few days earlier by her owners because she was in labor, had a puppy stuck in the birth canal and the owners could not help her. DAS took her into emergency surgery, and unfortunately all the puppies were lost. The good news is that Ginger Mae’s life was saved and while she had stitches and staples from the surgery, she was happy and excited to be out of the shelter and safely with CRT. And we are delighted to have her.
Ginger Mae is super friendly and loves her foster family. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home, and has begun to play with them. She has also begun to play with toys. Her favorite is a tennis ball that is in a sock. She loves to drag that ball around with her, shake it, and snuggle with it while she naps in her doggie bed! It is adorable.
Ginger Mae has the perfect personality. She is super friendly and loves people. When visitors come to your home, she is the first to the door to welcome them. Everyone is her best friend as soon as she meets them. If you are looking for a guard dog, Ginger Mae would fail! She is more likely to meet potential robbers at the door, love on them, and then escort them around the house showing them where your valuables are. Ha. The good news is, your family and friends will love to visit you as she adores all people!
And, of course, Ginger Mae adores her family. She loves to hang around you anywhere you are in the house, just so she can share your love. She will follow you around as you do your chores. And then she is the first to crawl up in to your lap and settle in for cuddles and TV watching at the end of the day. If you want a loving, snuggle bug, Ginger Mae wants to volunteer for the job.
Ginger Mae is really smart. She is potty trained and also crate trained. She currently sleeps in her crate at night, but would also love it if you want her to snuggle in bed with you at night. She rarely barks, even when the other dogs in the house bark. We believe Ginger Mae would do well with children as she is so friendly with every one she meets.

Ginger Mae is spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on shots, HW negative. and on heartworm prevention. She is ready to join a loving family - could that family be yours?
