DIONE (Dee Dee)'s Story...
Adoption Fee: $150.
My name is Dionne, but everyone calls me Dee Dee. I only weigh around 15 pounds and found my way to the shelter as a stray, along with my brother. Panacea actually went to the shelter to rescue my brother because he needed immediate surgery, but when they saw how scared and sick I was, they just refused to leave me behind. I'm slowly coming out of my shell and am still very scared of children and just run away. I get along great with all dogs and love to curl up with the family. I would have died in the shelter had the nice folks from Panacea not saved me.

If you want to meet me in person please complete an application at:

OR contact, after which a member of the Panacea team will contact you to set up a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DIONE (Dee Dee), a Higley Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Chihuahua for sale in Higley, or seeking a Dachshund/Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in Higley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Higley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Higley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Chihuahua breeders who help with Dachshund/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Higley paves the way for another one to be saved.
