Sasha-Fostered in Minneapolis's Story...
FOSTER HOME NEEDED. Sasha is a sweet, gentle golden retriever/lab mix who came with her buddy Skip. Sasha is about 1-1/2 years old and is 45 lbs and looks like a bear cub! She's got a beautiful black coat and a constant smile. Sasha loves to be with her people. She always goes outside to go potty and is good with the dogs in her foster home. We think Sasha has therapy potential. She is a gentle girl. Sasha is working on crate training, but does not love the crate. Our hope is that she can find a family who isn't gone for long hours during the day. She is currently left loose in the bedroom and has been great. Sasha has not been cat tested. Sasha wants a family to provide love, companionship and activity. We are requiring a fenced yard for this beautiful girl. Exceptions will be made with a dog experienced adult family living in an apartment/townhome with a long history of regular leash walking.

Sasha's adoption fee is $300 plus MN tax
Applications to adopt can be found on our website at www.hoabcr.org
Meetings will be set up after applications have been submitted and approved

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sasha-Fostered in Minneapolis, a Ada Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Ada, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Ada.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ada already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ada breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ada paves the way for another one to be saved.
