Noah's Story...
Who’s up for a little challenge? In the right corner, it’s me Noah, and in the left corner, it’s you, my new savior, but hey, I’m sure we can work things out by the 3rd or 4th round and get along just fine. I sure am a handsome little devil, huh, and just full of personality! Let me tell ya, I gots lots of personality but no confidence… all this attitude is really just a defense. I will need a patient, gentle hand to guide me through these troubled times, but I promise you will be rewarded in the end. I’m crate trained, smart, and there is a rumor around town that I play a mean game of fetch. I also get along well with other dogs and cats, just no children for me! So why not come on down here to Family Dogs and learn a bit more about the boy behind this handsome face! 1 year old-6lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Noah, a Portland Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
