Barnabas's Story...
Barnabas (AKA Barney) is a sweet Pug mix, with possibly Chihuahua or small terrier in him, around 1.5 years old. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, housebroken, crate trained & is current on preventatives. Barney gets along great with other dogs, & can be a bit shy with new people at first but is a total sweetie, & loves attention! He is a good traveler & is good on a leash. Barney will need some patience at first to acclimate to a new home & family, as any new pet would - once he's settled he will surely make a wonderful little companion! Barney's last weight was around 12.6 lbs. (DOB: 8.15.15)

*If interested in Barnabas, please email SNAPRESCUES@GMAIL.COM to inquire on his availability or to begin the adoption process. This dog is currently in a foster home, NOT at our facility. Emailing or visiting our website is preferred over calling our facility.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Barnabas, a China Pug/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug/Chihuahua for sale in China, or seeking a Pug/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in China.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in China already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a China breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug/Chihuahua breeders who help with Pug/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in China paves the way for another one to be saved.
