My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We have a standard grey male chinchilla who’s looking for his new home. He came to NWI just ab bit ago, and we have down that he was born around 10/1/16, which makes him right around 4 months old. He is very sweet, and totally ready to go to his new home!

He is a standard grey, which means he’s a greyish salt-and-pepper color over his back, with a white belly. This is the “classic” color in chinchillas.

This little guy is definitely a cutie! He’s a little bit more reserved, as far as going exploring…he will check out new places and new things, he’s just a little bit more cautious. When he’s old enough for playtime, we anticipate that he will take a few times to get used to the idea, but then he will enjoy it. He is relatively easy to scoop up into your arms and does well with being handled and petted. He’s a very sweet boy, very cute. Doesn’t bite.

He would make a great “first chinchilla” for someone who’s never had one before.

This chinchilla is currently caged alone. However, if you interested in pairing him up with your, or one of our, chinchillas, let us know and we’ll see what we can do.

This chinchilla will come with some food to start you out (Tradition pellets), a goodie bag of chews/treats, and a printed out version of our care packet. He will also come with a lifetime of help and support, should you ever need it. If more supplies are needed, we also sell a variety of chinchilla supplies, from cages to hidey houses to hammocks and everything in between.

Regardless of past chinchilla experience, all potential homes will be asked to read our chinchilla care packet and fill out our adoption application/chinchilla questionnaire. If you are unwilling to do this, please do not waste our time or yours. No chinchilla will go to a new home without an adoption application being filled out - no exceptions.

This chinchilla is located in Hammond, Indiana (zip code 46324). We can ship chinchillas from Chicago O’Hare, to a major airport near you. Inquire if interested.

The adoption fee for this standard grey male chinchilla kit (baby) is $135
