Squeeeeeee!!! What a schmoopsie

Miles is a sweet and lovable senior that found his way to a local shelter and he was in bad shape! He was significantly underweight, had major dental issues and sadly was wearing a harness that had been on him so long it made indentations in his bones. We are pretty darn sure that Miles was tied in a backyard his entire life with little contact from anyone. Fuzzy Pawz took him in and got him some much needed medical care, and his foster mom has been helping him pack on the lbs. Now this mellow older guy is ready to settle in with his forever home.

Miles is a smaller guy with a thin frame and long skinny legs; best guess is he is about 10 years old. He's about 10 lbs, but he could stand to put on another 5 lbs or so. We think he's some kind of terrier mix, we are pretty sure he is a Yoda offspring – come on check out those ears! Whatever he is we just know he is 100% love and happiness.

Despite an obvious neglect he endured before he came to Fuzzy Pawz he is a doll; he loves to curl up in his doughnut bed and loves to be near his foster mom. He's pretty indifferent to the other dogs in his foster home, but would do fine with other dogs or kitties. He doesn’t bark or make any noise, which is good if there are nearby neighbors.

Even though Miles is older, he's definitely got some spunk! He likes to go on lots of short walks with his foster mom. Miles has learned to use the doggy door, but will need to be crated if he has to go long periods without potty breaks. He actually really likes the comfort of his crate and goes in at night on his own; we ask that his new family make sure he has a crate to sleep in. The best part about Miles is that he smiles when someone talks to him or gives him attention - That's how he got his name (S)Miles!

Miles is in retirement mode, so he'd do best in a laid back and quiet home. Older kiddos would be fine, but small kids would probably make him nervous. We’d really like to see him go to a home where the human is in retirement mode also.

If you're looking for a sweet and mellow cuddle bug, and you have lot of love to give, Miles could be a great fit!

About Fuzzy Pawz Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of animal lovers banded together to rescue unwanted dogs and cats that are in shelters and pounds located throughout Idaho. Our non-profit rescue places each animal into our foster home program while we search for forever homes for them. We supply all vet care, food, toys, bedding; really anything they need while in our care.

We focus on those animals that are considered “hard to adopt” for various reasons; like kennel stress, having a black coat, being over 8 years old, etc. Often a foster home rather than a shelter environment helps give many of these animals a second chance at the life they deserve!

We relay on community donations and individuals willing to be foster care givers in order to continue our work.
