Tyler loves to sleep in the big bed at night in his foster home in Texas and is working on his crate training with his foster mom. Sometimes he will got potty in his crate. He loves to play with other dogs and very much enjoys a good play time with toys.
Tyler is housetrained but like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
Tyler is extremely shy at meal time. If he is in a home with other dogs he will give up his food to them. It is very important that this is not allowed to happen as little Tyler needs to gain a bit of weight.
Tyler would do very will in a home with children that are over the age of 8 years. Tyler would love someone who would spend time with him playing ball every day. He will play ball as long as you will throw it for him!
Tyler likes other dogs and children but should not be in a home with cats. Tyler is leash trained and loves to go for walks. He is obedient and comes when his foster mom calls him.
This loving little boy is waiting for his forever home. Are your arms aching to hold and cuddle a special doxie boy? Here he is ! Just waiting for you!
