My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone!! My name is Kevin and I was pulled from a kill shelter by my rescue because I was listed as rescue/urgent. I was really scared in the shelter environment and hated being kenneled there for weeks upon weeks with all the dogs barking and people walking by my kennel. I was said to be nippy and didn't like the kennel there at all. I went to my foster home and I still do not like being crated and my rescue believes a crate was used for punishment and that is why I show my teeth and will sometimes snap because I associate it with my past. Also, they found if you point your finger at me,I don't like that either and if I could talk I would tell you what happened to me. I am house broken and whine when I need to go out. I sit for treats on my hind legs and I love playing with my new doggie siblings and human sisters. I go for long walks each day and walk great on a leash. I need a new family that will take their time with me so I can trust again. I really prefer to be in a home where I am not crated if at all possible because it scares me. Once I know I am safe I do really well. I am approx. 1 year old per my shelter paperwork and believed to be a collie-beagle mix. I am fully vetted, hw negative and on preventatives now.
I am now in a training program to help me with socialization and to over come my fears and I am really making progress my trainer says. I still do not like the crate so I need a home where a crate will not be used. My trainer is going to foster me until I find my new family and she will even meet with them and tell them what I do and don't like once someone wants me. I really want my own rea forever home so will you please share my bio to help me? Love, Kevin
