hi my name is princess leila. I am about 50 to 60 lbs. And about 3 to 4 yrs old. I love my foster mommy and her 5 year old son very very much! I get along with all dogs and have adapted to my foster moms cat! ! I just loveeee being loved on, with tons of kisses! I'm very laid back, and crate trained. When it is bed time I go right to my crate and when I wanna play my personality truly shines through! (Personal message from my foster mommy) * everyone, out of all my fosters which I love all of then very much, leila has touched my heart so much. Down to knowing her past of being bred to near-death, to being used as bait. She is the strongest most calm loving girl I have ever had the pleasure to foster. Every time I write something about her getting adopted. I tear up. She is attached to my hip and I consider her as my baby. Leila suffered with uterine infection from being overbred, along with possible false pregnancy. I believe she was also beaten. She is such a precious baby, and is so special. I wish I could keep her. She would definitely be a foster fail. But I'm about to be moving to a apartment and won't be able to keep her as my forever baby". She is so loyal to her owner and does not like to disappoint you. So very well mannered.

About Cody's Friends Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

About us: Cody was the first pet I owned as an adult. He was a Shih Tzu that I bought unknowingly, from a Puppy Mill. He fought for his life and barely survived, suffering for the first few months of his life. From then on I was stirred by a ferocious passion to save as many dogs as I could through networking with other rescue groups and saving the ones I could off of cold streets and unwanted in shelters. Cody did not live a very long life due to a weakened body, but I was able to love on him for eight good years! He will always be loved and forever remembered. With over 400 dogs rescued so far, we ARE making a difference!!
Thank you for visiting and considering a rescue........................

Our Adoption Process...

Thank you for adopting and not buying!!! Every week hundreds of highly adoptabledogs are put to death by local shelters. Most people would be amazed at the purebred and beautiful dogs available, if they walked into their neighborhood shelter.

Rescue organizations, like mine, work hard to save as many as we possibly can but is a never ending process with breeders and Puppy Mills selling unhealthy animals to the public. If you EVER saw a puppy mill you would NEVER buy again!

All of my dogs are neutered or spayed, vet checked, completely vaccinated, wormed, groomed and checked for heart worms. They are all are current on Heart worm medicine, flea, and tick medications. Upon request, they are all microchipped as well.

Adoption fee is $200 to $250 (older "friends' can be less, please inquire. Puppies are $300 - Besides fully vetting all dogs, some of of the dogs I rescue, 1 in 5 I rescue have heart worms which is very expensive to treat. I also take in dogs who need surgeries and are close to death.
** Please note that I do not usually adopt out my dogs with children under four years of age.
