The fabulous Mama T is an adult, spayed female cat, probably born 2015. She is the Mother of the Year at the shelter.
She raised her own litter and saw them off to adoptive homes, then took in three scrawny little orphans who desperately needed mothering. Two of them have been adopted, but the third, Lindy is so tightly bonded that we don't want to separate them. They have been living in a foster home, but recently joined a colony. Teresa continues to care for Lindy and any other kitten who needs a kiss and a cuddle, even kittens whose mothers are right there in the room! She also cuddles the other mama's if they are having a rough day. Teresa truly has a heart of gold and every cat seems to love her.
She's very friendly with people, but she'll turn away from us in an instant if a kitten cries or needs her. We've never met a cat so in tune with motherhood. She's spayed, so no more babies of her own, but that doesn't seem to matter to Mama T. We would love for her and Lindy to find a wonderful family together.
