My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

TOBY

Neutered Male             White               Miniature Poodle         4 to 5 yrs. old         19 lbs.

Fee:  $350

Hello there,

My name is Toby and I am looking for my forever home.  I’ve been told that I am a real sweetie.  I am happy to lie on the couch and let you rub my belly any time.  But don’t let that fool you!  I have a lot of energy and would do well in an active family or with someone willing to take me out every day.  Do you like to jog?  I’d be a great running partner.  I love it when my foster family takes me to the dog park and I love interacting with other dogs.  I am great with dogs and people of all ages, but I haven’t been tested on cats!  You could say that I am quite the social butterfly.  I tend to pull while on the leash and I am not great while riding in the car, but my foster mom is working with me on that.  Oh yeah, I am house trained too.

I would like to think that I can balance both my energy and my calm attitude because I am happy running in the dog park or just laying next to you watching a movie.  At night I sleep in my bed on the floor, but if you let me I will happily sleep on your bed with you.

You should know that I do suffer from seizures, but I have not had one since I have been on the proper dosage of medication.  The medicine just goes in my food and I eat it up.  I have heard my foster mom say the medication does not cost too much money—whatever that is.  Speaking of food—I love food and treats—that’s the best way to train me.  By the way, my foster family thinks I’m really smart because I learned to use the dog door in one afternoon.  I would tend to agree with them.

I am searching for people that will play with me, exercise me, pat me, and love me and my funny smile.  What do you say?

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption.

The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form. Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form, a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion. NorCal Poodle Rescue places dogs within northern California only.
