Meet Roxx! This stunning tall dark and handsome boy is eagerly waiting for someone to fall in love with him and be able to take him home. This boy was transferred to us in hopes of finding his forever new home. He loves everybody and other animals. He does have a condition called feline idiopathic cystitis (FIC), which is inflammation of the bladder with an unknown cause. This means his bathroom urination habits must be monitored closely (meaning watch for any straining, small drops of urine or blood in urine). If things aren't right he would need to have a visit to the vet so anyone interested in him must be financially able to care for him. He uses his litter box and is a clean kitty. He needs a calmer low stress home. Roxx is always at the door to greet people and rubs up for affection. He has a tail that curls over his back which is unique. A real love bug awaits you. Come meet him!!

About BC SPCA - Maple Ridge Branch

About Our Shelter...

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/mapleridge for all of our current adoption prices, hours of operation, etc.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
