Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet the coolest and very special boy Chance! Chance is a 2.5 year old redbone coonhound – lab mix who has was rescued last summer from high kill north Georgia. Extremely affectionate Chance had a bad skin affection and needed many months of antibiotics and treatment. He is over his skin issues and looking great and now seeking an amazing new home in Washington. 50lb Chance loves the outdoors, and is an amazing walking and hiking partner. He is awesome on the leash and loves to accompany you on runs too. Chance has been through a lot, a crappy first couple of years, poor nutrition and bad living conditions probably produced his poor skin. This situation has also likely led to his uncertainty around some bigger male dogs and for this reason, he needs a confident and smart adopter who will watch out for him in these situations. He has been to training here in Georgia and is so awesome in so many ways that we are so happy we can find the right home for him. Chance is completely house trained, crate trained and rides awesome in the car. He will happily sleep on a pet bed and can be trusted in your home without a crate. Chance is quiet, not a barker or a hound “howler”…but he will give a warning bark if he hears a strange sound. Chance has been around many dogs, but will do best in a home without others. His foster mom does not have cats, so slow intros with kitties is always best. Chance is so loving, so happy and his tail is always wagging. While his foster mom also does not have small children…he has done fine when he’s approached by them in stores and in the parks. He loves visiting the neighbors and never has had a problem with any person he has ever met…he is everyone’s best friend! Chance is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He is no longer on medication and his coat is looking awesome. If you think you can be that awesome home for Mr. Chance, please contact Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com... if you are looking for a constant companion who loves to be with you and will show you every day that you are appreciated…then Chance is your guy! To apply to adopt, please go to www.raincityrescue.com/adopt. His adoption fee is $200. His foster mom is planning on flying him to Seattle in the next two weeks and we’d love to meet you then. We cannot wait to sing his praises and tell you more about this very special guy who REALLY needs a special home too!
