Five little monkeys jumping on a bed . . .
Okay, so they're not monkeys and they weren't always this carefree. Five little puppies were set to be killed by the owner of the mother dog because he didn't want them -- how's that for backwards logic: spaying your female dog doesn't cross your mind but shooting 5 innocent puppies does. In the nick of time a volunteer removed them from underneath the man's porch . . . and these 5 little puppies have been jumping on beds ever since!!
Foster mom knows them best:
"Ashlynne is a sweet girl with a curious spirit. I call her Ash the Explorer because while all the other puppies may be all playing together, Ash is off looking at something new. She loves to have her belly rubbed and night time snuggles though. She never wanders too far and usually makes sure that I stay in sight. I believe Ash has some natural herding abilities. Where she is currently staying, there is a miniature horse and a donkey. She will get at the edge of the fence and creep down as if a shepherd would do with cattle or sheep. Lots of personality and her speckled coat says it all- it is where she gets her nickname, Ash. She loves the other dogs in our house and really loves to have her own dog bed. If she sees a dog bed open, you can bet Ash is making her way to it. She is a very easy to please dog and just wants lots of love and attention from a forever home. She is one of 5 puppies that were rescued from a bad situation and deserves the best life possible. At night she likes to be with her siblings so a multi-dog household would be fine but that is not required. As long as she is getting your attention, I know she will be happy."
We think Ashlynne is a Cattle Dog -- possibly pure or possibly mixed -- she is about 3 months old, weighs about 10 - 15 pounds and she is a very healthy girl.
