Archie's Story...
Archie is an active one year old Schnauzer mix rescue dog, looking for his forever home. This high energy guy would be a great addition to a family with older children, a mature couple, or a buddy for a single adult. Archie would be a great jogging partner! He would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as he is not very good with cats and needs work on building social skills with other dogs. Currently Archie is quite reactive to other dogs so should not be with them. He loves people but is also independent. Rescued by our sister organization in Mexico, Archie has made his way to foster care in New Westminster, BC. He weighs just over 26 pounds, and has been neutered, dewormed and fully vaccinated. To inquire about adopting Archie please contact us at info.pvca@gmail.com for an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Archie, a Victoria Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Victoria, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Victoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Victoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Victoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Victoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
