My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kelley is an energetic lab mix. We are estimating she is about 10 months old. She was found wandering down Main St. She is fun and playful, and she loves to bounce. She would need at least a 5-foot fence to keep her contained.

Kelley is a playful and loving girl and would love a family with a large fenced in yard or extra time to take her on plenty of walks. She does great with other dogs and would be a perfect playmate for a family with another dog. She would also do fine as an only dog getting all of the attention.

Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

She is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Pet Express transport services upon adoption. Her adoption fee is $400 and includes spay, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances lists dogs as being available in Brattleboro, VT because we transport our dogs to Brattleboro every other week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
