MEET COPPER 3!! **Please Note: This is a courtesy post for another rescue; different adoption fees/policy apply.

Copper is very smart! She knows how to sit and lay down, almost knows to stay. Walks well on a leash using a head halter. Absolutely loves all people she meets. Good with other dogs big and small though she has a dominant play style. Does not bark. Does not rush the door. Follows you around the house. Sleeps so deeply I painted her nails! Snores like a bulldog. Loves belly rubs. Let's you mess with ears, nose, butt, paws, and her mouth without issue. One canine is broken off and only a small stump is left, does not affect her at all. Loves going for walks. Haven't introduced her to children but she is very interested from afar. Little to no interest in human food. I haven't found a single toy she likes to play with. Prefers to sleep at the foot of the bed with you. Knows when you're sad and gives lots of comfort kisses. Goofy and clumsy when excited. Rides well in the car but prefers the passenger seat. Mild separation anxiety and working on crate training.

About Underdog Rescue of Arizona

About Our Rescue Group...

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We attend multiple adoption events throughout the valley during Spring and Fall.
If you are interested in a specific pet, please complete our adoption application found on our website and we can then coordinate a meet and greet.

Our Adoption Process...

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website:

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.
