Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, April 1st from 12pm-4pm and Sunday, April 2nd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.

* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue

This dog will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, March 18th from 1-4pm and Sunday, March 19th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.

Finn is a 4 year old Sheltie-Corgi mix. He weights 11.8lbs. He's a small guy. He lives with other dogs currently and he's always lived with other dogs in his lifetime. He lives with big and small dogs and he's very dog social. He is an option for going to the dog park or doggy day camp or joining a home that has a doggy sibling for Finn.

Finn is a quieter type of guy. He's initially shy when meeting folks. He's not necessarily one who will jump all over you and declare his love when he first meets new people. Rather, he's one who just takes in all in. He is very sweet and loving. Give him a few to get use to a new environment. Don't have immediate expectations but rather give him the time and space he needs. He will absolutely give back love 10 fold.

If you're looking for a dog who won't require extensive grooming, then he's a good option.

Finn is only an option for a home that has had a dog in the last 3 years. If there are kids in the home they will need to be over the age of 8.

**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)

**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.

About Doggie Protective Services (DPS) - Palo Alto

About Our Rescue Group...

We are passionate folks who love dogs and love people! We strive to make the most appropriate match between human and canine. Because our dogs live in foster homes we know about their temperament and personality and therefore can help families and individuals decide if the dog is a good match or not. We are excited to help people find the right pooch for them and look forward to meeting great folks and welcoming them into the DPS Family.
