Bessie is a 3-4 year old female boxer mix who came to us as an owner surrender when they could not longer be taken care of by their family. Bessie & sister Betty had been abandoned by their owner with a friend and then never reclaimed. The friend took care of the as best he could, but because of his own health limitations, he ultimately needed to surrender them to us.
Bessie has a beautiful black and white pattern and is ready to find her forever home and be the stellar dog she knows she can be. That will take a bit of help from her new family though; this girl, according to her family, is not fully house trained and needs a few lessons in the house training department. Other than that, she is good with other dogs, amazing with feline friends and good with children as well. We cannot emphasize this last point enough: Bessie loves to be near human companions and thrives best when with them so learning how to be an inside dog would benefit her and her new Family.
