My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Penny is a precious Chiweenie girl who is approximately 3-4 years old and weighs just under 8 lbs. Just look at her adorable EARS!! She was rescued from a hoarding situation and spent her first few days in her foster home huddled under a blanket, hardly eating a bite. After about five days she started coming out of her shell and began to show the sweet and affectionate girl that she is.
Penny always wants to be near us—either on our laps, right next to us, or at least in the same room. Someone is home most of the time in her foster home and she loves being near her family. When no one is home, she is crated and seems to do fairly well with this, but if you are home she will want to be with you. Penny is fostered with several other dogs and she seems to enjoy their company but she would also do well as the only dog of an attentive owner.
Penny enjoys riding in the car and loves taking walks around the block. As soon as I sit down, Penny jumps into my lap! She loves to be picked up, held, and carried in my arms. She doesn’t bark unless she has a good reason. She has a good appetite and would be interested in being fed from the table but her foster family resists her pleas! Penny doesn’t usually ask to go outside but she does not have potty accidents when she is taken out on a consistent basis.

Penny is spayed, tested negative for heart worms, current on flea, heart worm and parasite preventative, current on all shots, microchipped, and dewormed. She is top notch!! Fill out an application for this sweet girl here: http://forrescue.net/dog-application/
