Percy's Story...
Percy is a one year old male chihuahua mix. He is new to our rescue and on his way to get neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots March 2nd, and then he'll be ready to meet new friends! He is a very sweet boy with a happy disposition and gets along well with other dogs. Has not been tested with cats. This young stud is looking for a family that wants to cuddle, play, and teach him some tricks! Could that be you?

An adoption fee of $250 includes vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventatives if appropriate, and all medical costs while in our care.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please visit our website and fill out an application online at www.familyadditiondogrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Percy, a Charlotte Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Charlotte, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Charlotte.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlotte already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlotte breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlotte paves the way for another one to be saved.
