Paco's Story...
This is a bio about Paco written by his awesome foster mom Stephine...
Paco was a stray on Woodbridge and Lower Sacramento Road in Woodbridge. Rainy night and I thought he was a rat. He was rummaging through some garbage on the side of the road. I almost hit him. We pulled over and Casey got out and chased him up Woodbridge Road. A passerby was sweet enough to help wrangle him so Casey could get him. Funny story is that we were headed to our friends house for dinner and we had our 13 year old Standard Poodle (Riley) in the car as well. When we got to our friends house, they have a lab, a Rottweiler and a cat. So, Paco was instantly tested to see how he would do in a stressful situation. He did great. Was just happy to be hanging out.

He is very food motivated. He loves it. Very happy when food is introduced. He sleeps in our bed at night and on the couch during the day. He and Riley happily co-exist. Casey made a mistake of trying to look at his teeth (they are in bad shape and had to have many extracted) and so he is ignoring Casey now and will not leave my side. If I get up to go to the bathroom, he is right beside me. He loves to snuggle on the couch. It has been raining so much but he is good about going outside to potty.

Sheri's notes...Paco went to the vet last week and had his teeth cleaned. He is up to date on shots and has a chip. He had a few taken out and he's all recovered and doing well. Paco is a male and is about 8-9 years old. Weighs about 10 pounds. He's neutered. He's a very quiet dog...not a yapper! Appears to be housebroken. More than likely he's mostly Chihuahua. And, he loves to cuddle. If you're interested in adopting him, please fill out our application at or you may call us at 209 603-5866

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Paco, a Lodi Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Lodi, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Lodi.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lodi already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lodi breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lodi paves the way for another one to be saved.
