Squirrel's Story...
Squirrel is a love bug with a passion for exploring her surroundings and the potential friends within them. Her favorite activity is being held and carried by her human friends, but when she's on the ground, her tail is wagging and she's ready to open up her heart to new possibilities. Around 2 to 4 years old, Squirrel grew up in a puppy mill and needs a little help both with housebreaking and being exposed to the sights and sounds of the big city.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Squirrel, a New York Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in New York, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
