Piper's Story...
Welcome Piper. She is a 6 year old Maltese. She was rescued from a Puppy mill and she was the puppy maker. She had had a number of litters but thanks to being rescued she now has her opportunity to be the center of attention and have her own family. She is a lap dog and very loyal. She has beautiful soft fur that and doesn’t shed but she will need grooming regularly to maintain coat. She came in yellowed and dirty and a wonderful groomer volunteered her trim and she looks so much better. Her ears had lots of matted hair and the groomer did the best she could to leave hair in the traditional style. She is moderately active, attentive, good on a leash and would probably be best in a home with older children or no children. She is a sweet dog and a quieter home would be what she would want if she could tell us. She weighs about 12 pounds, is up on shots and healthy and ready for her forever home. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Piper, a Lacey Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Lacey, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Lacey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lacey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lacey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lacey paves the way for another one to be saved.
