Enzo's Story...
Adoption Pending. ENZO is a 2 year old Yellow Lab mix male who was found in the middle of nowhere in NW TN. Enzo and his friend Bonnie, a Black Lab mix, and another dog, Amara, were left behind by their owners 6 months prior and they had been roaming ever since. They are now safe and in a foster home. Enzo weighs around 48 pounds but some weight gain is likely now that he is eating regular meals. He has been vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. He tested heartworm negative. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Bonnie and Enzo if it means they will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)3 non-profit, all-volunteer rescue to cover at least part of the cost of the veterinary care this dog has received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Enzo, a Union City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Union City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Union City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Union City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Union City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Union City paves the way for another one to be saved.
