Fonzie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Fonzie. He was running around our volunteer's neighborhood, maybe abandoned, for over a week. With yummy food and a little gentle coaxing, he is now safe and sound with his foster mom. He has very course hair and looks like he may have a skin problem that the vet thinks is either a food or seasonal allergy, which is he being treated for. He is scheduled to be neutered August 22. Fonzie is warming up fast and is happy to have food and attention. He is a medium sized dog, about 40 pounds. He's living in a foster home with many dogs and cats and does well with all of them. He's playful and loving and has learned to trust his foster family fairly quickly. He also walks nicely on a leash. Fonzie is a totally unique dog, we're just guessing at breed, could be beagle/boxer/shepherd. After Fonzie is neutered he will be ready for his forever home. Ask about Fonzie, he will be a great family dog! He gives kisses, and is a sweet pooch!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fonzie, a Winfield Boxer/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Beagle for sale in Winfield, or seeking a Boxer/Beagle dog from a breeder in Winfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Beagle breeders who help with Boxer/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
