Winnie's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Winnie is an aussie/lab mix who just turned 5 months old on April 23. Her owner relinquished her because she was too much puppy with very small children in the house. She is sweet and playful, housebroken, and crate trained. She is in a multi-dog foster home that also has cats and farm animals and she is good with all. She is about 35 lbs and has a little growing to do yet. She would make a great family pet for an active household with other pets.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Winnie, a Winfield Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever for sale in Winfield, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Winfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
