Cairo's Story...
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Cairo is a yellow lab mix who is under 2 years old.  He was rescued from a situation where he'd been tied outside and was hungry for human attention.  He is now glowing and growing from the TLC that his foster family gives him.  He is having a blast running and playing with the other lab in his foster home.  He has learned housebreaking and crate training and basic commands.  He is living with a cat and is a very people-friendly dog.  He is very sweet, friendly, and leans in for affection.  Cairo has a devoted lab personality and energy level.  He is waiting for a lab-loving home where he can exercise consistenly and continue to enjoy lots of TLC.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cairo, a Winfield Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Winfield, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Winfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
