Bashful is one big handsome ball of fluff! He lives up to his name & is shy at first but warms up quickly. His whole body just wiggles when he sees you. Bashful is house trained and does well with house manners. He does not like cats & can get jealous of other dogs getting attention. He wants it all to himself so we would love to see him as an only pet so he could be the reigning prince of the home. Bashful is a tender-hearted boy who seeks to please and wants to win over your love.
Bashful was rescued from a rural outdoor-only shelter in Oklahoma where there is no adoption program. Dogs are held for two weeks and if not reclaimed by their owners, they are killed. There is no electricity, no shelter from the elements except a plastic dog house with hay, no volunteers to come walk them, and little to no chance of making it out alive. Dolly's Legacy is working hard to save them from a terrible fate and give them the chance they deserve at a happy life with loving families.
Bashful is a Border Collie mix (our best guess on breed), weighs 50 lbs and is approximately 4 yrs old. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. He has completed heartworm treatment and will need to remain on monthly heartworm prevention for the rest of his life, as all dogs should & is recommend by veterinarians. Adoption fee is $200. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved.
