  • Hair: Medium
My name is Cato I'm a kitten who dresses up in "big kitty" clothes. II'm 3½ years young, very playful and still love to knead and purr on my fleece blanket, like I've done ever since I was a baby. I'm a talker and greet visitors when they arrive and tell you when I think it's time to be fed. My favorite toy is a bunch of shoelaces tied together and dangled over me

I am a big boy, about 15 lbs. I am also a big sweetheart. I am indoor 80 percent of the time, but like going outside to explore the neighborhood and befriend other kitties on the block.

Since October, I've had some urinary issues, but I never pee or marks outside of the litter box. Instead, I will try to pee in the litter box, but only a little comes out. Then I jump back in several times and keep trying. Urinalyses have shown blood in my urine, which is treated with antibiotics and pain meds.

My mom is single and has to travel a lot for work. The vet believes that stress from my mom's travel which may be contributing to my health problems. That's why I'm looking for a new home, along with my brother Kashki. We would benefit from a home where the owner or owners are around more than my mom and travel less frequently.

We are on a prescription diet, Hill's c/d, that helps prevent urinary tract problems. I also get fed wet food with water added to increase my water intake.

I would make a great family member! If you would like to meet me please go to and fill out an application. The adoption fee may be waived if we find the right home. Thanks!

About Pet Adoption and Wellness Services (PAWS)

About Our Rescue Group...

Pet Adoption and Wellness Services is a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals, from high-kill shelters and owners who can no longer care for them. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, and trainers, we are able to rescue animals, provide them with loving temporary care, and find them well-matched, carefully-screened forever homes. We also serve as a resource to our community and all pet owners by providing education and information on responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
