My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am a handsome little tuxedo who is a tad shy at first, but once I get comfortable with you, I transform into a snuggler who will jump into your lap when you're watching TV or cuddle up next to you at night.

My name is Kashki, and I am 3½ years young, spend most of my time indoors, but relish my outdoor time as well. I'm a hunter by nature, and love to stalk flies and chase squirrels. I come running when you call me in from outside, and roll around on the patio asking for belly rubs.

I am not demanding or loud. My cute little meow will melt your heart.

In late 2015, I was diagnosed with crystals in my urine, and have been on a prescription dry food ever since. I've been fine until a recent UTI. To be clear, when I'm having troubles, I never pee or mark outside of the litter box. Instead, I will try to pee in the litter box, but only a little comes out. Then I jump back in several times and keeps trying. My recent urinalyses showed blood in my urine, which is treated with antibiotics and pain meds.

My mom is single and has to travel frequently for work. The vet believes that stress from my mom's travel may be contributing to the my health problems. That's why my mom is looking for a new home for me, and my brother Cato. They would benefit from a home where the owner or owners are around me more, and travel less frequently.

Im am on a prescription diet, Hill's c/d, that helps prevent urinary tract problems. I also get fed wet food with water added to increase their water intake.

I would make a great addition to any family, if you would like to meet me please fill out an application at pawspetadopton.org. The adoption fee may be waived for the right home. Thanks!
