Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hoover and his buddy, Raci, were surrendered after tragic circumstances caused his owners to have to give them up. Hoover is 7 years old and weighs about 90 lbs. Don’t let his age fool you… Hoover is full of fun! Hoover lost his home when his human dad passed away and his human mom was hospitalized and no longer able to care for him. Hoover is extremely loving with his foster family, friendly with strangers, and easy to live with. He gets along extraordinarily well with the three cats he is currently living with, and does great with other dogs too. He is house- and crate-trained, and is happiest lying next to you with his big giant head in your lap. Rottweilers, when they are gently raised and well socialized (as Hoover clearly has been) are among the sweetest, calmest, most loyal breeds. Give this big guy a chance to drown you in kisses… you’ll love him!
We are a RESCUE GROUP, not a shelter, and all of our animals are in foster homes. To start the adoption process, email us at adoptions@earstexas.org requesting an application. Submitting an application does not commit you in any way, but helps us make the best match between people and our available dogs. Your current or past dogs must be spayed or neutered, on heartworm prevention, and be primarily inside dogs or we will not consider your application to adopt.
All of the dogs in our program are inside dogs and are completely vetted including all vaccinations, spayed/neutered, free of internal parasites, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention before adoption. Our adoption process includes an application, check of vet records or personal references, interview, neutral site meet & greet with the dog and your family, and a home visit.
