Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet me at Petco in Collierville on E. Shelby Drive at Houston Levee Saturday, March 25th from 11am to 2pm.
Lincoln is a Great Pyrenees, about 3 years old, weighs 77 pounds but should weigh over 100 pounds, now neutered, current on all his vaccines. Unfortunately, he is high heartworm positive. His heartworms are already reproducing and making more heartwroms. Lincoln has started on Doxycycline this morning and will need that medication for 30 days along with Advantage Multi.
He hadn't had a good nail trim in quite some time and had an embedded dew claw nail that circled around and was growing back into his foot a whole inch! Ouch!
His ears have been so infected for so long they have calcified and may need surgery later on. It's like sores that have harden inside his ears blocking his ear canal. Big hard bumps coating the inside of his ears. He got his ears packed with with a medicated yellow goopy stuff. No wonder he was shaking his head so bad and rubbing his ears on me. The smell was pretty nasty.
Lincoln has a ways to go to get better but at least he will get the help he needs.
Lincoln got all cleaned up yesterday, a bath and a whole lot of brushing thanks to the great staff at Olive Branch Animal Clinic. Thanks so much, Lynn for taking such good care of him. We heard there was at least 3 pounds of hair that came off of him.
He is so pretty and white now and smells good too!
If you can make a donation toward Lincoln's upcoming care he sure would appreciate the help. You donation is fully tax deductible. You can send a check to Save1Pet, PO Box 1335, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Or you can go to our website and use our PayPal.
