Sebastian's Story...
Meet Sebastian! Sebastian is new here, so our caretakers are still learning about his personality. He is 2-years-old and was transferred from another shelter. We have to say, he is one energetic, yellow lighting bolt! He is incredibly playful, jumps for joy and bursting at the seams with pure happiness. Being a bigger guy, he will need some help learning some manners and when it's appropriate to be in play mode. He is so eager to please, he will surely be a fast learner. At this time, we are not yet sure how he is with other dogs, cats or kids. Think this guy is just the one for you? Come on for a visit and be ready to play!

Sebastian is available and able to have applications submitted once you've met. For more information or inquires about meeting Sebastian, please give us a call at (302) 571-0111 or visit us at our center (701 A Street Wilmington, DE) Tuesday-Friday 12-7pm or Saturday & Sunday 12-5pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sebastian, a Wilmington Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
