My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our beautiful Jessica. She is the momma of our Ho Ho Ho pups. She was the perfect mom to these pups - giving birth to them in a field in the freezing cold, then held in a kill shelter for 10 day, then enduring a 3 day transport ending with a trip straight to the emergency vet at 4am because she and all of her puppies were sick with kennel cough. And let us not forget she was heartworm positive. Now that her puppies have been adopted, and her heartworm treatment is done, it is her turn to find her forever family.

Jess is a calm, gentle girl. A high energy, chaotic household is not for this girl. Don't get me wrong - she loves to play and have a good run around the yard. She is a quiet girl - who is very shy at first meeting. A calmer home is what we think would be best for her. She gets along beautifully with other dogs and kids (hasn't been cat tested but she is so low key, I'm thinking she'd be ok BUT then again, she is part hound....).

Jess is about 2yrs old maybe. Hound mix for sure. Adoption fee $375 and includes health exam, heartworm treatment, up to date vaccines, dewormed, microchip, spay, bloodwork, and 30 days of free pet health insurance. Application can be found on our website www.RDRanimalrescue.org!
