TONY's Story...
Meet the ittty, bitty, tiny and sweet Tony. He is only about 10 pounds(if that) and is about 3 years old. He came to the shelter as a stray on 02/23. He is a little shy due to all of the noise in the shelter and tries to hide in the back of his cage but once the door is opened he climbs right into your arms. Tony is the perfect lap friend. He is current on his vaccines, neutered and will be micro-chipped and tested for heart worms when adopted. He is waiting for his new best friend in cage 318 and his ID# is 593198.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

TONY, a Marietta Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
