Hello everyone! My name is Elliott! My foster mom said that I was dumped at a park just outside of Houston and my microchip was not registered, but that I'm a lucky guy because I found a rescue. She told me that they are going to find me a wonderful home, one where I can get to cuddle with my human friends! The vet told my foster mom that I wasn't taken care of well before rescue, because I'm heartworm positive, but that some medicine will make me right as rain! I'm a mature boy and the guy in the white coat said that I'm probably 7 to 8 years old and that I weigh only 19 pounds - so I don't take up much room on your bed. Seriously, are you looking for an older, low key, kissing love bug? Look now further, I am your boy! I like lying next to my foster Mom when we watch TV, and when she is busy I lay in the middle of her bed. When I do get up its to run out the back to try and catch a squirrel with my foster siblings. Did I mention I'm good with other dogs? Because I love them, not as much as my humans, but we are cool. Did you see my photos? I have the most distinctive little under bite, very unique. If you bring me into your family I want you to know that I'll let you know when I need to go potty outside, my heartworms don't stop me from having fun and my rescue friends will cover my HW treatment for you. I also know how to use my kennel and I'm great on my leash. My foster Mom never kennels me because I am such a good boy. Would you like to meet me? I'd love to meet you! Please contact my rescue friends to ask them about me!!

Come Meet Our Pets...

On August 6, 2016 was our last physical adoption event at Petco - Deerbrook after almost 2 decades of adoptions. The store closed and we are relocating our adoptions to a new venue. We will announce that new location sometime in September once we have it finalized. Until our new location is announced, we will accept applications through email and will be performing home visits on all adoptions. Contact us at rescue@palsforpooches.org to work out arrangements to meet one of our dogs. An adoption application will have to be submitted and approved prior to any meeting.

Our Adoption Process...

Our adoption process consists of an application and a short interview. Our adoption fee is $150 plus a $50 refundable deposit if the puppy is too young to be neutered prior to adoption. The adoption fee includes a set of 3 puppy shots, or an adult vaccination, vet check, worming, rabies, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment if necessary. We require our dogs to be inside pets only.
