Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Little Darla is a 7 year old Maltese female. Darla has a soft, non-shedding creamy white coat which is fairly short and easy to maintain. She is quite small, weighing 4 ½ lbs which is a good weight for her. Darla has a happy, social, and sweet personality. She likes people and enjoys being to be carried and cuddled. This sweetheart even gives kisses. Darla is living in a foster home with other dogs, but she would prefer a home as an “only” dog. She will thrive in an adoptive home with a person who has time to share their love with this little girl. You probably noticed in the photos of Darla that her left eye is smaller. Darla was examined by a Veterinarian Eye Specialist who confirmed that her left eye was small, nonfunctional, and did not require any treatment. Darla does fine with the vision in her right eye. She came to us from a large shelter as she needed surgery to remove some mammary masses. Luckily for Darla all of the masses were removed and no sign of cancer was found. Darla is a delightful home companion, uses a “doggy door” and will even go to the door to let you know when she needs to go outside. This special little girl is now ready to meet her new forever family!
