My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sport is an approximately 14 year old Jack in rescue with North East PA Pet Fund & Rescue located in Scranton, PA. Though he has age related decreased sight, he navigates very well; however, it is best to approach him from the front and verbally first so that he knows he has your attention. He is very well socialized with other dogs, but he has not been exposed to cats. It would be best if he isn’t in a home with small children because of the slight sight problem. He weighs about 18 lbs. and is a hearty eater. Sport likes to play with toys, especially fetch and tug of war. He is crate trained, house broken with occasional accidents in the house. He is a happy dog and his tail is wagging most of the time. He likes to go for walks, and does very well on a leash. He is smart and learns quite quickly; he is food driven. He does not like to be picked up, or disturbed when he is sleeping. Sport likes to be with his human, usually sharing your chair or bed with you. He tends to be cold at times so it is best to keep a blanket in his crate as he usually buries himself in it. He will let you know his boundaries by growling, if further provoked, he will show you his teeth but he isn’t aggressive. Sport does bark especially if he doesn’t have his human around. He will let you know when he’s hungry that way too! He sleeps well (about 8-9 hours a night) and will nap during the day. There must be a loving family out there for Sport! If you’d like to make him part of yours, please contact the rescue at www.nepapet.com or on Facebook by looking for North East PA Pet Fund & Rescue.
