Miriam is back! Sweet Miss Miriam was on her way to being forever loved, but unfortunately her new family was not able to provide the proper care that she needed, which included keeping her in the yard. Miriam originally came to us as a stray 7/18/15, when she was about one years old. This super-friendly sweetheart anxiously greets everyone she meets, tail-wagging. Miriam didn't get the memo that she's bigger than a Chihuahua, as she fancies herself to be a lap dog! Have a seat and she will likely try to climb on board...so cute! Miriam adores toys and shares them nicely with people. In fact, it seems Miss Miriam is quite the retriever. When volunteers toss a ball across our visiting room, she retrieves and returns it to them with great pride. This smart girl will sit on command and takes treats gently from your hands. Her leash manners could use some polishing, but this is easily remedied with training and use of a proper harness. Miriam isn't inclined to share her people with other animals and will likely need to be your only pet. She would be a wonderful playmate for respectful children. This young energetic pup will need a generous amount of exercise and playtime daily for years to come. If you're looking for a snuggly bundle of fun, Miriam just might be your girl! A fenced yard would be ideal.
